Why is coconut no longer listed in the allergen statement for Ascent Clear Protein Isolate Pineapple Coconut?Updated 10 months ago

Historically, the FDA has categorized coconut as a tree nut and, therefore, a major food allergen that requires labeling.  The FDA recently updated its guidance on Food Allergen Labeling, which no longer recognizes coconut as a tree nut. This decision has removed the allergen labeling requirement.

Ascent Clear Protein Isolate – Pineapple Coconut still contains coconut-derived flavors, but they are no longer required to be listed in the allergen statement. If you have a sensitivity or allergy to coconut, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before consuming.
